World of Orchids is expanding its range with its own line of decorative covers and matching ceramics. With this collection, the company is responding to the growing demand for complete, distinctive retail concepts. \u2018Our products reinforce each other and make it easier for customers to create something special,\u2019 says Manon Greeve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Total concept
The collection consists of decorative covers and ceramics that are available both as a total concept and separately. The covers and ceramics are carefully coordinated. \u2018We started by designing the covers and then looked for pots that would go well with them.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Four moments
When putting together the collection, a conscious decision was made to focus on four themes throughout the year: Valentine’s Day\/Mother’s Day, summer, autumn and Christmas. \u2018Summer in particular is often a quiet period,\u2019 says Manon. \u2018So it’s nice to be able to add extra value at those times.\u2019 The Christmas line proved to be an instant hit. “We had to reorder it straight away. The Mother’s Day cover is also selling very well. We now have several orders for all the lines.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Retail
With this collection, World of Orchids is focusing explicitly on retail. \u2018We focus our product primarily on large-scale retail companies,\u2019 explains Manon. Customers include supermarket and DIY chain stores. The products are kept in stock so that we can respond quickly. \u2018If a customer wants something special, we can deliver it immediately.\u2019 Because the line has been developed in-house, it is exclusive to World of Orchids and cannot be ordered anywhere else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Customisation
Although the collection is fixed, customisation is always possible. \u2018If a customer likes a pot but would prefer a different colour, that’s possible,\u2019 says Manon. \u2018But you do have to take delivery time into account.\u2019 The ceramics are produced in Germany and are known for their quality and flexibility in order quantities. Various shapes and structures have been chosen for the ceramics to match the different seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further development
The introduction of the covers and ceramics is part of the company’s broader ambition. \u2018We want to raise our profile with our own product developments,\u2019 says Manon. This year, the focus is on further developing added value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
